We take the time to get to know our customers – it’s an integral part of what we do. So we figure, you might like the chance to get to know a bit more about us too.
Spotcap operates in Australia’s rapidly growing fintech industry as an alternative lending option for small business. As the backbone of Australia’s economy, we’re concerned that small business struggles to access finance and as a result aren’t able to grow and expand.
We’re here to change that. Spotcap aims to address the financing needs of small business by providing short term business line of credit without asking business owners to jump through hoops.
We’ve been operating in Australia since May 2015 and our customers consistently tell us they love that the application process is fast, efficient and can be completed entirely online.
The team
Lachlan Heussler is the Managing Director of Spotcap Australia and New Zealand. Lachlan understands just how important access to finance is for small business. He has more than 15 years of experience and has spent much of the past few years exploring ways for technology to improve financial services for consumers and small businesses. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him hanging out with his daughter and finding the hottest new DJ music mix to impress everyone in the office! He’s also our resident wine expert.
If you call us for help, you’ll be greeted by Michael, Gabriel or Matt. The team are focused on excellent customer service.
Michael is our Senior Client Services Manager and when he’s not helping our customers, he’ll either be at the beach (surfing, snorkelling, diving or reading) or watching sport – he really can’t get enough of it.
Gabriel is our Client Services Manager and expert on where to find the best coffee in Sydney. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games, watching movies or enjoying a bbq with friends.
Matt joined the team about five months ago after graduating from university. When Matt’s not at work, he’s riding his motorbike to music events or playing semi-professional (we think he’s professional but he tells us it’s semi-pro) football.
When Martin takes a break from underwriting, you’re likely to find him riding his motorbike, keeping fit or cooking up a feast.
Jay joined Spotcap last year when he moved from his homeland, Sri Lanka. He loves Sydney’s beaches and the ‘mostly’ fabulous weather. Jay used to work as Radio DJ, so he’s another office music expert and lover of TV binging.
Mattis our Corporate & Business Development Manager. He’s been working with Spotcap for more than a year. On weekend’s Matt loves exploring Sydney’s beaches and bars. He particularly likes it when the two come together in a beach bar!
Our Sales and Partnership Manager, Dan, enjoys a good challenge. He competes in amateur boxing competitions, which means when he’s not working, he’s training for his next match and refuelling (he is pretty much always eating!).
Our Senior Channel Sales Manager, Troy, is the proud father of two beautiful kids. His weekends are busy with family activities and going to family-friendly places to keep the kids occupied so he can relax.
And rounding out the team is PR and Communications Manager, Kelly, our resident communications expert. On weekends, Kelly may be found jumping out of a plane, water-skiing or doing some other terrifying activity. She also loves trying out the latest and greatest restaurants.So that’s us.
